The Scholarship Committee of the Salem Garden Club is pleased to announce the recipient of our 2017 $1000 scholarship.  Alexander Debski is a 2017 graduate of Salem High School where he interned with the Read Fund Science program.  Alex also interned at Redemption Fish  Co. which deals with hydroponics, aquaculture, and aquaponics.  Alex's focus is to help protect the oceans and water ways.  As noted by one of his teachers, Alex has a love of science and the environment. His love for the ocean also is in evidence by his position as Surf Kayak Coach.  Alex  had an active role in the Green School Society as well as other school activities.
