Christmas Boutique

Salem Garden Club's annual Christmas Boutique is held the first weekend in December. The Boutique features fresh wreaths, centerpieces, swags, boxwood trees, and a variety of holiday decorations and ornaments. Each item is handmade by the members of the club. The Boutique is a unique event and just the place to find that something special to trim your own home for the holiday or to find a gift for someone special. The money raised at this event is reinvested into the community through the Salem Garden Club's civic endeavors.

House Tour

Salem Garden Club members decorate one of the homes on the the Historic Salem, Inc. Christmas in Salem House Tour. The home is decorated in accordance with the house's style and time period. Decorations are handmade b the Garden Club members. They consist of fresh greenery, floral arrangements, tree trimmings, and window dressings that emphasize the elegance and grace of the historic Salem home. Photos below show some of the beautiful arrangements that adorned homes in the building that was once the Salem Jail.

Garden Stroll

The Garden Stroll is a biennial event. In July 2022, the Salem Garden Club presented "A Stroll Through the Gardens of Salem" in the neighborhoods surrounding the Salem Common. Visitors strolled into and around some of the most charming gardens in the City of Salem. Complimentary refreshments of lemonade and cookies were served to the strollers along the route. Proceeds of the event help fund the many civic projects and scholarship offered by the Salem Garden Club.

Annual Dinner

In June the Salem Garden Club closes out their year with a dinner. This year's event was held at the Hawthorne Hotel. The new club officers and board members were introduced and highlights of a successful season were reviewed.

90th Anniversary Tea and Social

On May 20, 2018 the Salem Garden Club celebrated its 90th year with a Tea and Social held at the First Church. On display were many artifacts showing the Clubs rich history and its early years. Mayor Kim Driscoll presented the Club with certificate of thanks for its contributions to the City.

Books in Bloom

Books in Bloom has become an annual event. Members enjoy interpreting a favorite book in a floral design. The evening is always a lot of fun. Pictured are just some of the fabulous designs.
